About Myself

Though I doubt anyone’s concerned about who is running this blog I thought I’d make a little ‘About Myself’ page to cure any curiosity that may be out there.

So, My name’s Nina, I’m 24, and I’ll be starting third year at Fanshawe College in the Graphic Design program in January.

I’m very much so happily taken by my boyfriend, whom I affectionately call Hubby. We’ve been together for almost three years but have had feelings for each other for ten. He is basically my soul mate and you cannot argue with me otherwise.

I have a strongly negative opinion towards Alcohol: My father was an alcoholic when I was a child and that lead to him being no where in my life till I was about 18. I also just plainly hate the feeling of being drunk, and I hate watching other people get drunk and stupid. I will have a casual drink or two while out with friends, and I do love myself some Tequila but I do not enjoy the existence of Alcohol.
With that being said, I would announce, I am a drug user. I live every day with weed in my system. Marijuana is my drug of choice. I also enjoy a few harder drugs BUT i draw the line. Also, I have absolutely 0 tolerance for OxyHeads. A good friend of mine is a recovering addict and I hate the people who glorify this disgusting, life-altering drug.

I have 12 tattoos:

an infinity symbol on the side of my left ring finger; Chris has a matching one, we got them for our 2 year anniversary.
a lotus with stars and graffiti smoke; designed the image to be painted at the skate park, earned my community service hours to graduate high school with it.
a spider behind my right ear; represents my voice of reason whispering in my ear whats right. also represents my friendship with chris.
a graffiti girl half sleeve on my right arm; graffiti & street art is a huge inspiration to me.
a skull spiral flower; represents my best friend Alexandra, represents that distance means nothing and friendship will prevail
an ambigram of the word ‘Smile’ on my right wrist; no matter what happens in life, just smile. enemies hate it. also represents my friend Chantelle who got a matching tattoo and never fails to make me smile.
a guitar with a heart shaped body; I love music, guitars are my favourite instrument though I don’t play myself.
a pair of brass knuckles with a straight razor and a banner “Love Thy Neighbour”; Just be fuckin’ nice to one another, is that too much to ask? The world would be such a better place if we all got along.

My music taste revolves around Heavy Metal and Classic Rock with a pinch of Underground Hip-Hop.

I have adapted the mentality of staying positive, or trying my best to at least. I live each day doing my best for myself and everyone in my life. I try to be the change I wish to see in the world. I love who I am and it took me 20+ years to be able to. My friends and family are the biggest support in my life and I would probably crumble if it wasn’t for each and every one of them.

My obsessions are movies and quotes. I have a quote for every situation and know the entire script to far too many movies.

I can proudly and honestly say, I AM AN ASEXUAL!
I struggled during high school with myself and relationships because I didn’t understand what I am. There are others who feel like I do, I’m not a weirdo or an outcast, I just don’t want to have sex, and that’s finally ok. :)

My life is ART! I love so much about it. Personally, I use graphite, charcoal, pencil crayon, felt tip pen and acrylic paint. I also digitally paint but haven’t had any success with that. I try to surround myself with as much creativity and creative people as possible, I thrive in creative situations.
